Saying that "My native place is Scandeluzza in Monferrato," eight miles from Asti, that her first master was Caranzano in Asti, that she left the stage in 1837, that her husband, Giovanni Puzzi, died on 1 March 1876, having lived in England since 1816, explaining that she has always refused professional pupils but has had many good amateur ones, etc.; attached to one letter is a leaf with notes probably in Mrs. Marshall's hand on Giacinta Puzzi's life and career mentioning Mercadante's Didone [abbandonata] with Puzzi and Pasta, L'inganno felice with [Filippo] Galli, [Bellini's] Sonnambula, Rossini's Otello, etc.
